As you may remember, Datel claimed they could hack the PSP 3000 with a Pandora-like battery. Though it hasn’t been proved to be fake, many didn’t believe it actually worked.
However, this one is real.

According to wololo (developer of Wagic the Homebrew), Action Replay works on his PSP 2000 and his PSP Go.

Developers Xenogears and becus25 are back with a new update to their CFW Enabler for PSP 2000v3 & 3000.

What do I need?
- A PSP (Model 2000 or 3000)
- Firmware version 5.03.
- ChickHen R2 (at least MHUSpeed is recommended).

What should I do to upgrade?
There are two ways:
- If you have a version between 3.10 and 3.51 can use the update via network, but first you must download the program NetUpdate CFWEnabler Fixer 1.01 “and install it.
and then in the xmb go to the “Network Update”
- If you have version 3.60 you can use the Network Update directly from the XMB.

- If you have another version:
Install the program as follows and sobreesecribe. No matter which version you have before (even if you have another custom firmware).

Clarification of version 3.70:
The version 3.70 does not bring the game support than 5.03 because it is better to respect the dates in the current market. When you pass these dates take out a version with the support. Sorry for the inconvenience, but programmers need to eat …

Here are the features/changes:

  • Improved uninstalling system.
  • Improved the internal patching.
  • Fixed internal errors.
  • Code restructured.
  • Patch MHUSpeed.
  • Menu of change of custom.
  • Mac switch menu customized.
  • Menu MHUFS.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Now, back to the topic..

Smoking & RedHate have re-written their application in a modular type.
That means, no more plugin updates! Well..unless it’s not bug free.

For those who don’t know what PSNabler does, PSNabler enables PSN access for selected games when using a hacked or custom firmware PSP.

By the way, some of you may experience problems with WPA-TKIP encryped networks, so you may want to try WEP.

Note: uninstall/remove any earlier versions of PSNabler before using PSNabler Final.

According to computerandvideogames.com, an advertisement for a bunch of LittleBigPlanet-themed peripherals clearly says they are compatible with the “PSP-4000″. Don’t they know it’s not out yet?
At least it’s good to know it will be compatible with this kind of stuff.

The ad, which can be seen in issue 568 of games trade mag MCV is from peripheral firm Accessories4Technology, showing a list of compatible PSP models at the bottom that includes the much rumoured but yet to be announced PSP.

Analysts have already stated that Sony putting out another model of PSP – speculated to be a PSPgo with a UMD drive – is highly likely, although Sony has kept hush about it.

Could the peripheral ad have let slip, or has someone made a slip up after some dodgy Google searching? A pic of the ad is above, or you can see it in the digital edition of MCV (via he Lost Gamer).

As you may have noticed, the firmware which was released yesterday had a few problems.

Here’s what voxuni@pspgen said: (translated)

A little less than 24 hours after our previous release, here is the Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 fully functional, we will try to respond quickly to the question everyone asks:

But what happened anyway?

As you all noticed last night the server was “slightly” faltered under the weight of multiple connections, and F5 desperate that most of us were abused, awaiting the arrival of new custom firmware.
The editor allows us to create and publish our news has also been affected, and if we could publish, not without difficulty, the 5.03GEN-C, things are complicated when it came time to finalize the news on the 5.50GEN-D3. When we finally had the opportunity to access the editor, is a beta version already on our servers which has unfortunately been put online.

The version presented this morning in the emergency encountered numerous problems for some owners of PSP Slim. In fact, a bug prevented in the VSH to see the ISO files from the Memory Stick. This bug was not found on our PSP, Yoshihiro was soon given the job based on the feedback you’ve provided in the pages of our forums.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we invite you to take advantage of this revised version. You can reinstall it safely over your version 5.50GEN-D3 current.

5.03GEN-D3 – 2

Improvements in the final version:

  • Fix for bug eliminate the VSH menu, everyone can now enjoy the contents of its Memory Stick
  • Update on backups that were seen as corrupt.
  • Improved speed of access to Memory Stick during a game session
  • Added support for IRSHELL D3 which will release shortly.

Only God Eater worries arise again, but we can hope that this update should address everyone. During this long day, we noticed that a lot of problems stem from improper installation, and we invite you to read the next page …
